Thermodynamics is a simple word, a combination of two Greek words (therme heat + dynamis power). The two best proven principles of science are the famous first and second laws of thermodynamics. There is no disagreement among scientists that these two laws are universally accepted as true. It wasn't until the 1800's during the industrial revolution that scientists first stated these laws.
The first law states simply that the total amount of energy in the universe is conserved, with no energy being now created nor any energy being now annihilated. The Bible says it in Genesis 2:1-3 "Thus the heavens and earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made". He stopped His work, His energy output and as you know energy includes mass, light, heat, sound, electricity and started His continuing principle of conserving what He had created as stated in Hebrews 1:3 "upholding all things by the word of His power". Isn't it amazing, the first law of thermodynamics clearly told in the Bible centuries before men of science identified it. God's method of conserving living things is by reproduction, that is by a copying process. This copying process has been discovered by science to consist of an unbelievingly complex genetic system involving the DNA code which acts like a builders blueprint to guide protein assembly and cellular formation in the living system whether plant or animal. To make the system even more incredible we find the complete DNA genetic code is present in every nucleus of every cell of every plant and animal and of course is specific for that kind of plant or animal. To change a fruit fly into a butterfly would present scientific barriers that cannot even be imagined. To believe this change could occur by blind chance acting for no purpose cannot be rational. This idea is even less rational because of the second law of thermodynamics which we will now explain.
The second law of thermodynamics is also known as the principle of increasing entropy with entropy being a term meaning wearing out and increasing in disorder and that all energy in the universe though still in existence is being changed so that it can no longer perform useful work. Complexity is breaking down, everything tends to deteriorate, order moves toward disorder and all systems tend to wear out. This second law is expressed in many scriptures, but I like best Psalm 102:25- 27 "Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. They shall perish but thou shalt endure: yea all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed. But thou art the same and thy years shall have no end." Isn't that amazing again - the second law of thermodynamics clearly stated in the Bible thousands of years before men of science discovered it? This second law is obvious to all of us and is present everywhere. Automobiles wear out, houses need paint, wood rots, children need to be rewashed, hair needs combing, the hot water heater self destructs as house guests come in the door. The second law finally sends us all to the cemetery. All the natural world has been scientifically observed to obey the second law with no exceptions.
To demonstrate the laws of thermodynamics, we only need to take the first page of this little message number four and run it through the copying machine making copies of copies to watch the imperfections accumulate until it becomes illegible. By the first law we are conserving by copying and by the second law we are losing perfection and watching entropy before our eyes. Let's do that and attach it to the last of this little message. This entropy is seen in the real world as we observe more and more genetic medical disorders with each generation of people.
These two laws of thermodynamics are in direct opposition to the theory of evolution. The theory of evolution says the natural world increases in complexity and order over time when there is no demonstrable evidence of any such process occuring anywhere in the natural world. Order and complexity never arise spontaneously - they are always generated by a prior cause, programmed to produce such order. Now you can understand why evolution is scientifically impossible, and how incredible it is that school children in government schools are being taught evolution as though it were science. If you are taught you are an evolved animal that arose by chance from primordial slime and you believe it, then your behavior would be irrational if it were not in accord with such teaching. Most politicians and educators say the answer to that is we need more tax money for more "quality" education ignoring the evolutionary issue, and of course not mentioning any Christian moral teaching or reference to the Bible.
Sometimes I feel like I am locked in an insane asylum and cannot get out or that I have dropped anchor in deep water and do not have enough line to reach bottom.
